A Good Day to Me, Not to You is Arena Stage’s deeply human, sharply funny one‑woman show starring Constance Zaytoun, who brings raw vulnerability and wry humor to the story of a middle‑aged woman navigating purpose, grief, and an unconventional path through life. In our interview, Constance shared how she connected personally with the character’s sense of feeling lost, her nontraditional life path, and her Catholic upbringing, elements that shape the play’s emotional core. Arena Stage The production, written by Lameece Issaq and directed by Lee Sunday Evans, follows a dental lab tech whose midlife unraveling leads her to a nun‑run boarding house, where she confronts motherhood, faith, and the meaning of her own story. Critics at Maryland Theatre Guide have praised Zaytoun’s performance for sustaining the show’s emotional highs and lows with nuance and depth, making the journey feel intimate, chaotic, and profoundly relatable. Talking with her after the 90‑minute performance, it was clear how much of herself she poured into the role and how powerfully audiences see their own questions about purpose reflected back at them.
