Should've taken pics last night of our toast to EiO @15 🎉🎉🎉 Thx to @manzoemily for snapping this 😅
Experiments in Opera holds a special place in our hearts. If you haven't yet, start now! Their "Writer's Room" approach to creating new operas is a ground-breaking concept to creativity and collaboration. They will be at @herearts in May with their latest edition: CONSTANCE - a confession feat. an outstanding cast and @hypercube_music 💗 GO go go!
Last night was nothing short of a miracle... knowing all the things that have to align to be able to hold space, we can be rest assured that every breath we take matters. In times of much needed togetherness, we are reminded and humbled by the magnitude of this grace which truly is the ultimate gift. Thank you to everyone for making this so! We are eternally grateful!

Date Night! Voguing @kontrabasskeb BASS CONCERTO @queerurbanorchestra@davidmartinbloom #QUOFEST 💃🏻🕺🏻
QUOFest: The Dance Floor
There’s a place for us…on the dance floor! This scintillating night lifts up the dance floor as an inimitable space of queer expression, community, and liberation. With dazzling orchestral color, Florence Price brings to life the dance traditions of her home in the American South. Bassist and composer Kebra-Seyoun Charles, known for their “buoyancy, verve, and hummable grooves” (I Care If You Listen), performs their own bass concerto Nightlife, steeped in jazz, gospel, and Baroque dance. QUO pulsates with rhythms of love and conflict in the Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim’s magnum opus. The night comes to a close with a special bonus, a fresh orchestration of MFSB’s Love is the Message, one of the fundamental tracks of Ball culture in 1980’s Harlem.
