The Weaver 🇮🇸 a couple of months ago I directed and edited a short piece for @mazdaeurope and it is now live on YouTube on their channel under the Mazda Discovers series 🎥 I was joined by the incredible @conormccann who DP’d the film where we spent 6 days exploring the island country. Near the end of the trip we met with @asthildur_the_weaver who took us through her story of weaving in Iceland. I am so proud of this project, and can’t wait for you to see it. A piece focused on real people and their stories ♥️💪🏼 here’s to many more!
Some of my favourite moments from summiting
Kilimanjaro last week. I went into this trip with next to no prep and it was one of the most challenging things l’ve ever done. Grateful for this life and these incredible opportunities. @altezza.travel thank you for putting together the most amazing trip for us 🫶🏼
Non stop, to the top. Hakuna matata Tanzania!!
1. Classic sign photos after a grueling hike in the dark.
2. My favourite sunset of the trip
3. Getting ready to the scramble up Barranco Wall
4. Getting delirious at high base camp
5. Moments of calm at our first high altitude camp
6. The crew climbing up the wall
7. @christopherballadarez and I stoked on the journey
8. Thinking about the big push to the top
9. Innocent, one of our guides and my go to guy celebrating a huge week of challenge and the blistering pace
This is what a week in Norway looks like with an @indie_campers campervan, your best friends and some vintage glass.
Can’t recommend doing Norway by campervan enough. It’s the perfect place for a road trip and I really can’t imagine seeing Norway any other way
The perfect moment doesn’t exist…
We were driving around the Mara looking for the perfect tree to shoot sunrise, when we came across this herd of Giraffes. @elliotgrafton and I raced to set up the camera hoping we’d get a giraffe crossing through the sunrise, yet we came out with something even better
Finally had some time to put together a little edit from the @canonusa R5 Mark II launch campaign I DP’d with @samnewton a few weeks ago. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect team to make it happen
Special thanks to @slickbaum for being the coolest subject possible, and letting us in to document a slice of your life.
Postcards from Raja Ampat. I wanted to share some of my favourite simple moments in their own slides from our week on board with @calicojackcharters
Thank you to all the amazing people who made this trip so unforgettable
During our trip to West Papua we had the opportunity to explore with some of the Maya tribe of Raja Ampat. We took a boat trip through a bay then a short hike up stream to a vibrant blue river. It was an incredible way to start our adventure and one of the most unique experiences I’ve had in recent memory.
I thought it would be fun to show how I set up my camera in a very full boat to capture some of the experience
Road trips are such a special thing. For me they really embody the saying “It’s more about the journey than the destination.” Going where you want, when you want. What is more freeing than that
Wanted to put a little spin on this audio that was making the rounds on socials a while back, hope it makes you feel something
The desert is so beautiful when the sun is low
I always make myself little notes of future videos ideas when watching movies, and I originally jotted this down 3 years ago during the opening scene of the first dune.
When I saw Dune Part Two last week this same line was used and I wrote it down again, only to realize it was already in there. So I just had to bring the idea to life
Namibia really feels like its own desert planet at times. (Especially if you’ve just watched dune and have been listening to the soundtrack on repeat)
One of the most surreal evenings of my life. Namibia, I already can’t wait to come back
