Loved seeing @kobenavision film on the big screen. So much time, creativity, and hard work went into this production. I was grateful to have a small part in it!

Surprise! After 6 months and 5 unsuccessful meet & greets, Emma aka Piglet finally got adopted!
Six months ago my neighbor and foster guru @darngoodfosterdogs posted about a dog she had pulled from the E list at @lifelineanimal . Emma had been returned twice due to hyperactivity, and because of capacity laws she was on the list to be put down. Laurel could only keep her for a week before she’d have to bring her back to the shelter.
I saw this beautiful dog that looked more pig than dog and I absolutely could not handle the thought of her possibly being put down. What I thought would be a few weeks turned into months. Emma was beautiful, friendly, and a lover to all dogs and cats, but she couldn’t control her excitement. Fine when she was a puppy, but when you grow into a 50 lb dog it quickly becomes a handful. She quite literally couldn’t be tamed.
Potential adopters would show interest, but as soon as they met her and saw that boundless energy they’d get scared away—“we love her BUT…” Conor and I worked hard with her training: taking her everywhere with us, enrolling her in positive reinforcement classes (thank you @zoomroomsandysprings ), and slowly our wild piglet started to become tamed. Training gave her the skills to channel that endless excitement.
Finally an adopter came along who understood Emma and had the love and resources to let her keep thriving.
I never thought my first foray into fostering while in Atlanta would be an “undesirable” bully breed, but Emma gave us more love and amusement than we could have ever hoped for. 🖤
