Two years ago my world was shattered when I had to make the difficult decision to send my soul dog Dolce over the Rainbow Bridge. I didn’t plan on getting another dog so quickly, but a month later we brought Valentino home. I like to think Dolce sent him to me.
I’m grateful to be able to do so much life together. From car rides to boat rides, vet appointments to nail appointments, restaurants, hotels, and everything in between. We’ve navigated so much change together and what I’m most grateful for is the love and laughter he brings to our home.
Happy 2nd birthday to my second soul dog! I love you Valentino ❤️

Feeling grateful - for the triumphs and the challenges. The triumphs brought joy. The challenges humbled me, but they showed me where I still need to go. Money and success are nice but health is the real wealth. Take care of yourself; be a good person; and spread kindness and positivity whenever you can.

It’s the end of an era. The iconic department store, Hudson’s Bay, has shut its doors.
This post comes with a heavy heart. Hudson’s Bay was where I got my start in the industry. I had the privilege of assisting on some unforgettable photo shoots that took me around the world. I learned so much by being on those sets. The days were long and full of hard work but I wouldn’t trade my experience. Some of my fondest memories were working with HBC, like bringing my 8-week-old puppy Dolce to set after only having him for 2 days.
To everyone who was part of those shoots, (you know who you are), thank you. Your energy, collaboration, and passion shaped my early career and showed me what this industry could be. It really does take a village, and I was so lucky to be a part of such a special one.
To the 8,000+ employees impacted by the closure, I’m thinking of you. Thank you for your loyalty to a brand that is so deeply Canadian. Wishing you all the very best in what’s next.
