Previewing: it’s just like riding …, a world premiere by choreographer and designer Jordan Daniels, commissioned by CONDER/dance for Dark Archive. This striking duet, performed by Amy Symonds and Kina Connor-Ortiz, moves through themes of death, grief, and the choice to find joy within our inevitable mortality.
Layered, physical, and deeply human, the work asks how we carry loss—and how we continue to live fully in its presence.

Previewing: she’s in love with the janitor, choreographed by Carley Conder for Tabitha Burton. Inspired by “The Diver’s Clothes Lie Empty” by Rumi and set to Moonlight Serenade by Glenn Miller, this solo drifts between presence and absence, body and spirit.
Suspended between memory and immediacy, the work reveals a fractured interior—two states of being unfolding at once. As part of Dark Archive, it reflects the layered selves we carry and the unseen histories that move through us.

Previewing: 10,000 Light Years Away (2014), choreographed by Keith Johnson and performed by Artistic Director Carley Conder. This compelling solo explores conflicting identities and the vast distance between outer persona and inner life.
Set to an operatic score, the work unfolds through bold theatrical imagery—including a luche libre mask and 1950s cocktail dress—revealing identities in tension, memory in motion, and the many versions of who we become.
As part of Dark Archive, this return of a 2014 work reflects how performance can preserve, revisit, and reframe the past through the body.

Previewing: Map of Broken Glass. Originally choreographed in 2016, this work returns as part of Dark Archive, tracing how memory and identity are continually formed, fractured, and reassembled over time.
Inspired by Robert Smithson’s sculpture, the piece moves through cycles of gathering and release - embodied in intricate, shifting movement that reflects the instability of memory itself.
