Congratulations to the Sisters of St. Joseph on receiving the inaugural Sustainability and Environmental Award at the Long Island Imagine Awards!
Concern Housing is proud to partner on Joseph’s Village, an upcoming affordable and supportive housing development rooted in shared values of sustainability, dignity, and community.
Diane is a Concern Housing resident with a background in social services as a counselor.
She continues to be an active and engaged member of the community — participating in events, dinners, and Brooklyn Cyclones games.
We’re grateful to celebrate Diane as part of our Cyclone Bagels Service Spotlight.
Yesterday, we brought a Cyclone Bagels Surprise to four veterans at the @newyorkfitnessandboxing gym — a small moment of appreciation.
Thank you to @concettaspirio for making this one possible.
More to come.
Yesterday, we delivered a Cyclone Bagels Surprise to Diane — a veteran and Concern Housing resident — a small moment of appreciation and a chance to spend some time together. 😊
More to come.
We recently introduced you to Donna Hoffmeyer — Air Force Veteran, nurse, and advocate.
We’re grateful Donna is part of our Cyclone Bagels Service Spotlight.
As a flight nurse based out of Ramstein Air Base in Germany, Donna flew missions during Bosnia and was part of the recovery team following the USS Cole bombing.
Today, she continues to serve as the founder of R.E.B.el LLC and The Transitioning Warrior, supporting Veterans through advocacy, coaching, consulting, and community programming — including her podcast.
We recently joined Donna on the Transitioning Warrior Podcast — stay tuned for that conversation in the coming months.
A few heroes from this week’s HOPE Count.
Members of the Concern Housing team joined volunteers across New York City to support this important annual effort to better understand and address homelessness.
The HOPE Count brings together outreach teams, community members, and volunteers to gather critical information that helps inform services and housing solutions across the city.
Grateful to stand alongside so many people committed to this work.
With all the bagels to choose from, David keeps it classic: cinnamon raisin, toasted with butter.
A solid choice from our teammate David.
Part of our Cyclone Bagels Service Spotlight series.🇺🇸🥯
Another proud member of the Cyclone Bagels team serving the Coney Island community. 🇺🇸
Cyclone Bagels is a nonprofit café owned by Concern Housing — baked with purpose.
Steve served in the U.S. Air Force and is a Desert Storm Veteran.
Today, he continues to serve his community through his work with Concern Housing, the nonprofit behind Cyclone Bagels.
His order: BLT on an everything bagel. 🥯🇺🇸
