Track: Groove Riddim feat. Nathaniel X Project — The Difference
Record: DJ Sprinkles & Hardrock Striker — Skylax House Explosion
Today we present an excerpt from CD2 — Mix by Hardrock Striker.
Where CD1 mapped the emotional interior of the dancefloor, CD2 reveals its kinetic force. This mix draws from two decades of Skylax Records, bringing together foundational artists and overlooked transmissions that define the label’s physical relationship to rhythm — direct, uncompromising, and structurally precise.
Hardrock Striker approaches the DJ mix not as a sequence of tracks, but as a controlled release of energy. Basslines function as anchors, drums as propulsion, and transitions as points of pressure and release. Each selection reinforces the continuity of house music as a living architecture — built not from nostalgia, but from persistence.
From the futurist motion of Kuba Sojka’s Walk On Moon to the raw functionalism of Signal ST’s Bongo Trax, and culminating in Dreamtime, the closing collaboration between Peter Black & Hardrock Striker, this mix affirms Skylax’s role as both archive and active force — preserving the structural language of Chicago, Detroit and New York while extending it forward.
This is not retrospective. It is operational.
Skylax House Explosion stands as a document of continuity — where house music remains a tool for movement, endurance, and collective presence.

Miura is back! 😈
We are thrilled to welcome French producer Frederic Boeuf to the Miura Records family. Under his Concept E25 alias, Frederic has been honing his craft since 2012, releasing music on respected labels like Skylax Records and Copie Blanche. Now he makes his label debut with “How RU on Friday” a raw House track going from a deep and classy vibe to dubby garage scent.
Underground House Music at its best!
Track : What did you Say
Record : Garage Sessions I - Concept e25
Tracklist
A1: What did you Say
A2: Feel Strong
B1: Around
B2: ReleaseYourSelf
This release follows contributions from the likes of Montel and Adryiano earlier in 2013. Treating us this time are French production partners Frederic Boeuf and Lionel Cadix, aka Concept e25. These guys have big shoes to fill after the previous releases on Wax Classic, and I’m glad to say that they do not disappoint.
Both “What Did You Say” and “Feel Strong” begin the Garage Sessions with punchy basslines, filtered chords, layered drums and catchy vocals, with the latter track being the deeper cut of the two. However, my picks of the EP lay on the B-side.“Around” has an early Kerri Chandler feel to it but Concept e25 make sure to avoid imitation here. Unlike many other producers today, they use their inspiration to create rather than replicate. “Release Yourself” closes out the EP with its soulful vocals and is the track for me which best evokes the feelings of early NY/NJ garage house. A solid package and one which will definitely have me looking out for Concept e25 in the future.

After a seven-year hiatus, Concept e25 is back which will, quite literally, be music to the ears of deep house heads. This is the alias of French producer Frederic Boeuf who has been crafting his own grooves since 2012 on labels like Skylax, Copie Blanche and Swedish Brandy. The ‘Thesis’ EP shows what he is all about with deep, cuddly drums, infectious kick patterns and subtle, painterly synths that help smooth the grooves and get your mind wandering.
