We’re excited to officially plant roots in Aberdeen, SD—and even more excited to introduce our first local hire, Corey Sauerwein 👏
Corey brings 25+ years of experience across residential and commercial construction. From large-scale projects like the Green Bay Packers stadium expansion to building high-end custom homes right here in Aberdeen, he brings a well-rounded, hands-on perspective.
After running his own construction company for the past 14 years, Corey is known for doing things the right way—strong relationships, practical knowledge, and quality work.
Born and raised in Aberdeen, he’s excited for this next chapter of tackling larger-scale projects with Comstock, especially the ones that help grow his hometown community.
Here’s what he’ll be focused on:
• 🤝 Building relationships with clients
• 🧩 Helping guide projects through pre-construction
• 🏗️ Supporting the team to deliver a smooth project experience
Outside of work, Corey is a dad of three who spends a lot of time at his oldest two's sports games alongside his youngest go-to sidekick.

🩺 Rural healthcare is a hot topic in our neck of the woods.
And it's important to us because it's where we can make a real, tangible difference. Because in rural areas, even small renovations to healthcare spaces can have a big improvements on access to care.

Things are moving fast at The Bison Lodge 👷♂️🏗️
Since our last update, this project has really taken shape. The second floor is up with walls and roof trusses and shingles in place.
Inside, rooms are fully framed, giving a clear picture of how these spaces will come together. Down below, the concrete subfloor has been poured—and thanks to some cooperative weather, the front porch stoops just got poured too.
From the ground up, it’s all starting to feel real.

We’re transforming an existing office building with new interior layouts, offices, and meeting spaces to create a home base for our South Dakota operations.
