@downtownopenspace is hosting a lovely short exhibit of local artwork, all with one thing in common - they all cost less than $100!
This is a great exhibit for anyone who's looking to add original work into their lives while supporting living artists without the huge price tags.
Bonus- artists keep 100% of the sales! That is nearly unheard of.
Three of my paintings were included in this show. I am so excited about this.
This was my entry in the women in art display, which happened in Abbotsford, for the month of March. The display was shown at the keratin art gallery and open spaces in downtown. It was really fun to take part.
This is how it all began. Ken was setting up his model layout and he needed the walls to be painted so we painted them blue and when we were finished, we knew that the blind blue wasn’t good enough so I went on YouTube watched a video on how to paint clouds got a paintbrush and some house paint and went at it. I was so surprised when I was finished that it really did look like clouds so so I decided it was time for me to follow through on my wish that someday I would like to learn to paint . I asked Santa for paints. He brought me an easel paint and brushes, and I have not stopped painting since I love it. It has become a passion my someday arrived thanks to cloudy train layouts.
