Thank you to all who purchased mojo bracelets from me. While I am delighted about that success, I pause to remind us all to maintain our humanity one to the other. Let us pray and send positive affirmations in support of the right for Palestinians to live their lives unhindered, unmolested, and undisturbed by the vain imaginations of others who seek to delimit their humanity. We pray for those grieving the loss of lives, livlihoods, and homes. I took this photo on Central Avenue in Tubman City (Baltimore) #freepalestine #freegaza

Me at 19 in Compton , California. Hopeful and happy, happy and hopeful. Let us all sow seeds of happiness today and all days. The Salon is a Black Women’s Book Discussion Group that examines literature written by Black Women from intersectional perspectives. Join us for the literary salon. This year the focus is Afro-futurity and is titled, Astral Diaspora. Look for details about the salon open to 15 in-person partcipants. We meet twice a month. Beginning in June, we will blast off to new dimensions and discuss some real important things that concern us. How do we see us? How do we want to be? Who do we want to be? How do maintain our best or how do we get to our best? Keep your head to the sky! Mama Koko

Original art work by me. In the collection of my Godmother. Up playing with my small collection of Ekipa from Namibia. Made from the molars of the elephant, these are powerful mojos for manifestation as are black cobra vertabrae. Coming out with some new pieces for the serious collector or for those who want to curate or assist their wrists. Ekipa from the Ovambo people resonate with a current that is palpable to the wearer. I made the necklace in the center with the coral in Cape Town. I have worn it everyday for a month. Look this week for some special items on my Shopify. I found some beautiful protection prayers etched in glass. Supplies limited. Oh, yeah green turquoise frogs. Read up about frogs as a spiritual symbol. Oh yeah, finna start the Literary Salon back uo in May with a year focused on Afro-futurism what I call Astral Diaspora. I am inviting you all to subscribe to my Patreon to register for this year of Astral Diaspora explorations. We will travel the world of artistic, musical, literary, cinematic, cosmetology and cosmologies, and other aesthetic explorations including dance and culinary arts as we collectively examine the works of Octavia Butler. N.K Jemisin, Zora Neale Hueston, Nalo Hopkinson, La Belle, Sun-Ra, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Ishmael Reed, and ohers as they share their vision for shapeshifting, time traveling, and creating art that liberates. Info for registration coming soon.
