Fifth Graders at PS/MS 46 in Harlem recently walked their cafeteria food scraps over to Compost Power’s Polo Grounds Community Composting site to start off our now-weekly community composting pilot! 🌟🥬 They presented the map they made showing the harmful journey of food waste to landfills compared to the closed loop cycle of local composting, and processed their food scraps so they could be added to the compost system. 🪱🍃
