The Truths, Untruths, and Non Truths of Sheridan Anderson
Part 1 : Apparitions Under A Wanderinā Star
This is the first part of my series on Sheridan - looking forward to more along with other long form content on the Compleat Substack. The link is in my bio and my stories today.
For a primer on Sheridan Anderson I highly recommend Brett Tallmanās article āSearching For Sheridanā on the @theflyfishjournal website and linked in my piece.
Thanks to the many people who have made my research on Sheridan Anderson possible - Doug Robinson, Frank Amato, Brett Tallman, Bill Edwards, the incomplete archives of supertopo forums, @andygohlich@outdoorrecarchive and many more.
Iāll be updating on Substack and my page here as always :)

Is Euro Nymphing Fly Fishing?
Iām on the case and working hard to bring clarity to this hard fought question.
So far lāve identified that flies are involved - also fish.
Weāll keep following this and have a definitive answer soon.
See yaāll in the Eastern Sierraās this weekend!
Iāll be up for a Compleat Flyfishing School session with @usal.project

Have you ever caught the same fish twice?
The first day I arrived I saw a nice rise next to a rock, a tricky section that would produce a nightmare of drag. The fish had the advantage, but the conflicting currents that protected it also obscured my presence.
Two days later I came upon the same spot and gave it a try - the same drift produced a mimic of the eat before.
Thanks @andygohlich for the first pic āļø
