A big welcome and congratulations to our brand new LSO Panufnik Composer Scheme Members who will all be developing their orchestral writing skills across twelve month guided by Colin Matthews - Composer and Christian Mason.
This will result in their works being workshopped in 2025 with two of them chosen to be further developed into five- and ten-minute pieces, to be premiered in an LSO concert at the Barbican Centre.
Here they are meeting each other yesterday at LSO St Luke’s with Colin Matthews and Lady Panufnik.

We will be hosting pianist/composer Yunho Jeong on the 29th Jun, 7pm at St James's Piccadilly. The repertoire will be a mixture of contemporary music and classical music.
This concert will consist of works from different eras that fall under the theme of Nature, Spirit & Fantasy.
Guests will be able to listen to Mozart’s and Schubert's 'Fantasie' and a contemporary composition called 'Welle' composed by a Korean composer, @saeahm.kim_composer among others.
In addition, 'Rain, Steam and Speed after J.M.W Turner' will be played by Yunho who composed the piece, inspired by the famous British painter.
If you're interested in contemporary and classical music, this will be a great chance to have a lovely time, listening to a rich array of music.

On last Saturday, I made my Viennese debut at Musikverein both as a composer and a pianist by performing my solo piano piece, Rain, Steam and Speed.
I'm still thrilled to face with my own music in such a historical hall. 🤩

I'm really looking forward to working on with @londonphilharmonicorchestra next week. My Clarinet Concerto will be primiered by the principal clarinetist Benjamin Mellefont and LPO conducted by Brett Dean on 14 July in Queen Elizabeth Hall at @southbankcentre . Alongside with my piece, other 4 stunning concertos by young composers will be premiered as well.

They will each workshop a new piece with LPO musicians across the year, mentored by Composer-in-Residence Brett Dean, before a performance of their work at the @southbankcentre in July 2022. We can’t wait to work with them!
