“There is nothing better than compassion for bringing a greater sense of purpose into your life. Compassion allows us to act on our human impulse to care for someone, and act out of kindness.” We’re excited to partner with @kripalucenter to offer a weekend-long immersive experience. Led by CI Founder Thupten Jinpa, PhD, and Senior Teacher Shireen Mansouri, MD, this intensive blends meditation, mind-body practices, group discussion, and real-world exercises, all set against the backdrop of the beautiful Kripalu campus. Outside of the workshop, students will be encouraged to take advantage of all that a weekend at Kripalu has to offer, including yoga classes, community-building, and quiet reflection. Our goal is that you return home with practical skills to care for yourself and your community and with a greater understanding of how to lead with compassion in your everyday life—allowing you to live with more meaning, purpose, and joy. 📍 June 12–14 at Kripalu Center (Stockbridge, MA) Learn more & register today: https://lnkd.in/gVDQ4yF4

Grateful to the @globalcompassioncoalition for this feature. These students are why this work matters. Many are first-generation college students, parents, and frontline workers. They are not learning compassion as a concept. They are learning it as a way to stay human inside systems that too often demand service without healing. Through Compassion Cultivation Training, which I learned through the @compassioninst they became more rooted. More aware. More able to lead without abandoning themselves. This weekend, I have the honor of attending the @mindandlifeinstitute celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th year. I will carry these students with me into that room. Their lives are proof of what becomes possible when healing, reflection, and human dignity are no longer treated like luxuries. These future social workers already know the difference. That gives me real hope. #CompassionInAction #SocialWorkEducation #ContemplativeScience #LeadershipWithHumanity #FutureSocialWorkers

At its root, Tonglen is about transforming what's around you into warm offerings. Tonglen is a powerful practice that helps us learn to be present with suffering and envision ways to transform that suffering into ease. In the process of Tonglen, one learns to reinforce the ability to serve another while also building your own strength.   We're so excited that Dr. Erika Rosenberg will be leading our upcoming Tonglen Intensive course. This deep-dive into this ancient wisdom practice will take place on two Wednesdays, March 4th & 11th, from 9-11 AM PDT. To get a sense of what the class has in store, watch our recent Tonglen meditation on our YouTube channel or register for the 4-hour course at the link in our bio.
