Compassion is a global ministry making a kingdom impact.
This is a movement of Christ-like compassion. A growing neighbourhood of people who choose to stop, to care and to walk with those who need it most. Neighbours who choose to move with compassion.
Will you join the neighbourhood?

You might notice some beautiful drawings at your next Compassion event or while you scroll through our content. There’s a story behind them that you’ll want to hear. 🎨
We invited children registered in the Compassion program around the world to draw their lives, hopes and neighbourhoods. The result? Over 5,000 drawings, each one alive with colour, creativity and story.
These were expressions of childhood. Joyful, bold, playful. Sometimes messy. Always meaningful.
With love and care, our designers began to translate these artworks into a new global illustration library—one shaped by children, for children and with children.

"I didn’t want to go out at all. I felt ashamed having a child at such a young age,” says 18-year-old Nisa.
For the first three months of her pregnancy, Nisa stayed inside. Then, she met some kind mothers in her village who told her about a local Mums and Babies program that could help her.
Now, that same scared 18-year-old woman is growing in strength and courage with the help of her local church.
“Before, Nisa was a young mother who was afraid of others and didn’t dare join the group,” says Pastor Vulthy.
“But since joining Mums and Babies and being taught, I see that she has more courage than before and seems to have improved in caring for the baby in her womb."
Now, Nisa’s family wait with bated breath for their newest family member.
“Since my granddaughter joined the church project, I have seen her learn to love and care for herself,” says Nisa’s grandmother, Som. “And I really want to see my great granddaughter's face!”
“I’m no longer timid, and I’m ready to be a mother,” Nisa declares with a smile.
Today, you can join a community of people giving to help young mothers like Nisa. Could you help a mother feel ready for their next step?

"There’s dinner on the doorstep.” That was Chelsea’s favourite message to receive while holding her newborn. 🏡
The early months of motherhood are a vulnerable time for anyone. But when a birth is complicated, support isn’t optional anymore—it’s essential.
“After I had my second boy, I had a postpartum haemorrhage and was rushed to the hospital,” says Chelsea.
“After that, I couldn’t walk or move around much. If there was no one around to help, it would’ve been really difficult.”
But Chelsea’s community showed up. They organised a meal train for those early weeks, reminding her and her husband they weren’t alone. Now, years later (and another baby in her arms), she’s doing the same for the new mothers in her life.
“Every mum deserves that kind of community,” she says.
That’s why the Mums and Babies program exists. When a new mum living in poverty is welcomed into her local church’s Mums and Babies program, she has a community from day one. Motherhood can be isolating—but it doesn’t have to be.

“I don’t like to think about it actually,” says Jacqui with tears in her eyes.
Moments earlier, we’d asked her to imagine what life might be like for a new mum living in poverty, facing those early days alone.
Jacqui and Gary know that community made all the difference in their family. After having their twin girls seven weeks early, Jacqui says she was never alone in her home.
“I always had someone popping over to go for a walk, cook a meal, have a chat or drive me to the hospital,” says Jacqui.
Years later, after they had their son Ethan, nothing changed.
“Sometimes we would bring the kids to church and not know who was holding them,” laughs Gary. “They were so loved.”
“Knowing someone was just a phone call away was so valuable,” says Jacqui.
“Our prayer is that every mother would wake up knowing there’s a neighbourhood that loves them and a God who will provide for them.”
Would you join Jacqui, Gary, Alysha, Christina and Ethan and move with compassion for mums living in poverty this Mother’s Day?

Eight-year-old Aditto turns empty biscuit packets into toy trucks, filling his days with play and imagination.
At home, life is hard. His father works long hours gathering firewood and making fishing baskets, while his mother plucks tea leaves to provide for the family. Yet love keeps them strong.
“My wife’s job at the tea field and our love for our children are the only two permanent things in our lives,” says Sushil, Aditto’s father.
But with the support of his local Compassion centre, Aditto’s future looks steady.
At his local Compassion centre, Aditto plays, learns and simply enjoys being a child. Support for food, health and education gives the family hope and brighter days ahead.
