Calling all artists and writers about art! We are ComMuse Virtual Gallery and we are a host to many art-related projects such as shows and indexes but we are currently looking for artists and and writers about art for a zine that gets sent out to members every month! This is your chance to be featured in a zine about, by, and for artists and art lovers of all kinds! This zine is done and sent out on a monthly (or bi-monthly/quarterly depending on how many submissions we get) basis! They're little pieces of art and writing to get you through the months until we have our next show!
If youre sending art, follow these simple tips! 1. Prepare Your Artwork: Ensure your art piece is in a high-resolution digital format (JPEG or PNG), along with a detailed description including the title, dimensions, medium, and all relevant background information for EACH PIECE! 2. Artist Statement and Biography: Prepare a short artist statement and a brief biography that gives insight into your creative process, inspirations, and background.
3. Email Us!: Email us at [email protected] with your contact details, artwork information, and attach your digital files. Make sure you say it's for the zine!
4. Review Process: Once submitted, our curatorial team will review your application. This process can take up to two weeks.
5. Notification: If your art piece is selected for our virtual gallery's zine, you will receive a confirmation email with details on the next steps, including exhibiting dates and promotional support. Submissions for our Spring 2026 show, Binary Breakers, have now closed! Thank you all for getting your work in to me and for supporting our gallery thus far! We hope you like what we've put together and we cannot wait to share with you!
Due to us seeing a need to extend it, we have pushed back our submission end date for Binary Breakers! Our new submission date is April 21st, 2026! The new show start date is May 20th, 2026! In other news, submissions are now open for our second virtual gallery show! The show, entitled "Binary Breakers," is about breaking binaries in many varying ways. We as artists often straddle many lines but which binaries you choose to break in your work is ultimately up to you! Happy new year! Our site now features our first gallery show, entitled "Adaptation and Evolution"! Thank you all for sticking with us in 2025! Can't wait for what 2026 has to bring... including our new show for spring which we are taking submissions for, entitled: Binary Breakers! Thank you all for participating and I hope to see you all bright and early in the new year to celebrate your achievements!
Submissions are now closed for our Adaptation and Evolution show, curated by @echo_echoo_echoooo ! Thank you all who submitted your #submissions and in such a timely fashion! We will have our show starting on January 1st, and for those in our discord, we will host a virtual gallery tour of all of the pieces in the show!
Don't worry if you haven't gotten your pieces in yet, we are still accepting pieces for our collection (which will be used in future #artshows as well as featured in our #artindex !) and for our next show, which will be revealed on the date of our inaugural opening!
