This week was very busy but very rewarding. Community noise lab has been working hard to adjust to new equipment while still serving the community. This includes conducting health studies in our office location in West Jackson. We are proud of the team’s hard work and commitment to the project. We are excited to see what the coming weeks bring.

Last Week our summer interns got to play around with some new gadgets we received to test Air, Water, and Soil. We had a blast in the office training with new equipment and even receiving a chemistry lesson from Dr. Nica😁. Check back in next week for more weekly updates.

Last week our student researchers got to experience our process hands on with their first day training under Maurice Hunter one of our Research Assistants and Dr. Cristina Nica our Jackson project Leader. We collected inventory from illegal dump sites in West Jackson, learned how to properly calibrate and collect data from Noise and Air pollution monitors and so much more. Community Noise Lab is excited to see what this summer brings with these beautiful new faces. So far it looks Promising!!!
