Not a Glock with a switch but a pen with a wrist. The power of pen is mightier than the sword. 1500 words just energized a whole generation. A group of teenagers all the way from a school in Wisconsin, were so inspired by my Soul City article that they created this beautiful art. Just for me. They put a lovely twist on the Soul City Gateway design, imagining my character, Hearthead, as a resident, tourist, and commuter patron of Austin. My heart can’t help but to warm as I stare in amazement at this act of love. In closing. The power of my pen created words. The power of their pen crafted art. What is the power in your pen? One of the things that helps me deal with my PTSD is coloring. It gives me the space to gain control; slow down, breathe, and create. That’s why I created “Color Art With Heart”. To give others a positive public experience while embracing creativity, connection, and emotional wellness. Now more than ever, we need to invest in public health & mental health in ways that are accessible, positive, and community-centered. You truly never know whose life you may impact through a simple act of creativity and care. Your organization could contribute a small financial amount of $500 to help our next community coloring activation. Two spots for sponsorship are currently open.
