In the past month, our team has been hard at work continuing our mission to promote harm reduction and safety within the punk and metal community in LA. Here's a snapshot of our impact:
🚑 216 Narcan Units Distributed: We're thrilled to report that we've distributed 216 Narcan units, equipping individuals with the life-saving tool they need to respond to opioid overdoses effectively. Every unit distributed represents a potential life saved, and we're grateful for the opportunity to provide this vital resource to our community.
🎸 3 Punk/Metal Shows Serviced: Our presence at three punk and metal shows allowed us to engage directly with the community, offering support, resources, and education on overdose prevention. By being present in spaces where people gather, we're able to reach individuals who may benefit from our services and support.
💬 100+ Conversations: Beyond distributing Narcan, we've had over 100 conversations with members of our community, educating them on how to identify and reverse an opioid overdose. These conversations not only empower individuals with life-saving knowledge but also help to destigmatize discussions around drug use in our society. By breaking down barriers and fostering open dialogue, we're working towards a safer and more supportive community for all.
