This year, we're delighted to have Bradley Hall's watercolor linocut prints gracing our lobby walls.
“I hope to capture the beauty of the discarded places of the past. Old abandoned buildings, shrinking small towns, and barns are vanishing. There is a strong cultural heritage that these places represent. These places should be celebrated, not discarded."
"I also find solace in the wide open landscapes of the prairie. A timelessness that can't be erased. A fleeting sunset, a single wispy cloud in an azure sky, or a silent sunrise are small moments to be cherished."
Bradley adds color to his prints using watercolor and paints each print individually. He also makes frames from barn wood, using recycled siding from old buildings that would otherwise be discarded.
He said, "I don't think many people realize how beautiful this area is. I love to travel the country roads searching for a hidden valley, or a broken down old barn or shed.
All the pieces are available for purchase, and even more of his work can be found at Lanesboro Arts. (@lanesboroarts )
