+ James Massiah
James Massiah is a south london poet and musician. his work is a continuous and layered exploration into sexuality, mortality, and hedonism, variously expressed through performance, writing, and visual media.
long-time dean blunt collaborator. further work with jawnino, massive attack, joy orbison, and daniel avery, as well as readings at tate modern and the ica. his monthly nts show sees a convergence of dub, dancehall, acid, grime, and poetry only made possible by someone so interested in and so integral to so many scenes.
been on a roll recently too - from true romance to bounty law to contact high. not to mention the unmistakable contributions of dj escrow.
a real privilege to be hosting James in a few weeks time. we’d hate for you to miss it.

+ Fine
matinee - limited tickets available
evening - sold out
Fine is an artist we've admired for some time now, and it's nothing short of a privilege to be hosting her and her band as part of their spring tour.
copenhagen-based. singer-songwriter and producer who blends samples, acoustic and electric instruments into a groovy and ethereal crossover sound. familiar and dreamlike. her 2024 album, Rocky Top Ballads, turns experiments and improvisations into songs, tied together with Fine's distinctive voice. sold out shows in europe and north america, and a whole host of new songs to boot.
a project with Astrid Sonne under the moniker, Coined. a feature on Smerz's 'Big city life EDITS. frequent collaborator of Erika de Casier. one of our favourite artists over the last couple years.
the wonderful Alliyah Enyo will be on support for the evening show.
don’t miss out.
+ Scenic Route with BLACK FONDU
last to be introduced before wednesday is BLACK FONDU.
accra-born and london-based, BLACK FONDU’s style snaps between glitchy electronica, abstract grime, hyperpop, noise, and punk. had us hooked back in 2024 with his self-released, ’S B 1 3’. since then we’ve seen his name crop up more and more, most recently on Scenic Route in november with his debut ep, BLACKFONDUISM.
sky’s the limit for this guy. so excited to see what he brings in a couple days.
+ Scenic Route with thredd
imogen & the knife. max winter. will lister. all heavily respected in their own right, and when their paths meet as thredd the result is no different.
born out of an artist residency in 2023. toured with Nourished By Time. debut album, ‘It’s Lovely, Come On In’, came out on Scenic Route last year. struck a chord with each of us, and we’ve been gunning to have them up ever since. they sit on a spectrum of sound that’s hard to pinpoint. rest assured it’s a good time.

glad cafe
as we gear up for scenic route next week, we wanted to give a little nudge towards this happening the week after. Fine is an artist we’ve admired for some time now, and it’s nothing short of a privilege to be hosting her and her band as part of their spring tour.
copenhagen-based. singer-songwriter and producer who blends samples, acoustic and electric instruments into a groovy and ethereal crossover sound. familiar and dreamlike. her 2024 album, Rocky Top Ballads, turns experiments and improvisations into songs, tied together with Fine’s distinctive voice. sold out shows in europe and north america, and a whole host of new songs to boot.
a project with Astrid Sonne under the moniker, Coined. a feature on Smerz’s ‘Big city life EDITS’. frequent collaborator of Erika de Casier. one of our favourite artists over the last couple years.
the wonderful Alliyah Enyo will be on support.
tickets are very limited for this one and we’re nearly at a sell-out already so we recommend acting fast.
+ Scenic Route with deer park + Ivy Knight
joining forces next wednesday will be deer park and Ivy Knight. deer park is no stranger to the duck, having graced us with a performance in the apollo bar in august. now moving into the main room, he’ll have Ivy Knight alongside him, whose new album, ‘Iron Mountain’, is out in the coming months.
their new single, ‘Black Cat’, landed on Scenic Route just last week. dreamy and brooding, it offers a glimpse into what the two are about. what better time to come and see the rest for yourself.

the flying duck
just under two weeks until we team up with one of our favourite labels, @scenic _route, to bring a showcase of some of their best to glasgow. @deerpark , @thredd121 , @ivyknight , @blackfondu . stacked doesn’t quite cut it.
duck on the wednesday, white hotel on the thursday. tickets in the usual spot, come be a part of it.
not only was last friday possibly our favourite show to date, it also capped a year of common room. thank you to everyone who’s been involved so far, we love you all.
the fun doesn’t stop though! we’ve got two shows coming up in february: a label showcase with @scenic____route on wednesday 4th and @fineglindvad on sunday 15th. come on down before we take a bit of a breather.
+ Zolf & Spxo
last minute addition. community radio prodigies. staple on some of the most important bills in the past year.
sneaky b2b with @chamber.45 on subcity radio for agglomeration 30th edition before we kick off the night. would be a disservice to not include them.
expect the unexpected.
advanced tickets are likely to sell out, act fast.
+ Chamber45
Chamber45 is a london-based dj and producer like no other. firmly rooted in grime but no issues bringing jungle, bassline, trap, and 140 into the picture. a staple on rinse and further appearances on nts, 1xtra, reprezent, kiosk, and kindred. not to mention whp, DaMetalMessiah at jazz cafe, corsica, ormside, colour factory, mot. even an impromptu white hotel set that we know from inside info took the roof off.
unmatched energy on this one - no better way to see out the night. tickets moving along nicely, don’t miss out…
+ Jawnino
Jawnino is a london-based rapper riding the new wave of grime like no other, gliding through uk rap, jungle, cloud rap, trap, and breakbeat on the way. his anonymity stands in stark contrast to his ever-increasing presence. collaborations with names like MIKE, James Massiah, Airhead, Kibo, and most recently SURF GANG, cement him as one of the loudest, if also most nonchalant, voices in the game right now.
as we make our first forays into 2026, lord knows how far he can go. what we do know is his first stop is glasgow. blink and you’ll miss it.
