Authors, don’t do this.
This happens and sometimes it’s unavoidable due to script changes or editor delays. Luckily, most audiobook production companies know how to work around this (well, the good ones).
Without a pronunciation guide, narrators are just going in there blind and sometimes guessing (if it is not public knowledge).
If you are considering producing an audiobook, it would help to have all pronunciations handy. Fiction writers that is especially important for main and secondary characters. Bonus points if you include a character accent list.
