Today, we’re launching World Football Giving Day. A new annual moment built around one simple idea: football shows its heart. On 26 May, players, organisations, clubs, partners and fans will come together to give something back and turn some of the game’s reach, attention and energy outward in support of communities beyond the pitch. Because, while football has given so many people belonging, confidence, joy, community and opportunity, the truth is those things are not evenly distributed. For too many people, access, support and opportunity still depend on where you are, what resources surround you, and whether anyone is willing to invest in your potential. On 26 May, football shows its heart ♥️ See who’s in at @worldfootballgivingday #WeAreIn

The Common Goal Community Report is a snapshot of the world’s largest football for good network creating opportunities for millions of young people – all through the world’s game. This is not our impact – it’s the daily work of community organisations – coaches, leaders, and young people – who make the joy of football a tool for equality and leadership. While the Community manages to help an incredible amount of young people across the world it also highlights the very real challenges facing organisations all around the world – not just those working in football for good. Read the full report via the link in bio and meet the orgs driving this change.

This is bigger than the walkout. Through Quaker and Common Goal, more than 1,400 young people from across the United States will be part of the FIFA World Cup 26 Player Escort Program, stepping onto the field across 66 matches alongside some of the biggest soccer players in the world. And beyond gameday, educational programming focused on nutrition and wellbeing has already reached 4,000+ young people across 30+ organizations.

From local communities to the world stage. These are just some of the 1,400 young people from across the United States who will step out onto the pitch at FIFA World Cup 26. Each has been selected through their local soccer for good community organization as part of the wider program leading into FIFA World Cup 26. Through Quaker and Common Goal, they will be part of the Player Escort Program across 66 matches, walking onto the field alongside some of the biggest soccer players in the world. Because the biggest stage in soccer should always stay rooted in community.

Right to Dream is in. As a lead partner of World Football Giving Day, Right to Dream is helping back the ambition to make May 26 a lasting moment in the football calendar — one where the game comes together to give something back. It is also the next step in a broader journey with Common Goal that began in 2022, rooted in a shared belief that football can be a force for opportunity, connection and long-term change. Over that time, the partnership has helped grow the football for good community, strengthen organisations on the ground, and support a wider shift in how purpose can be embedded more deeply into the game. World Football Giving Day builds on that same direction. Turning shared belief into something visible. Something collective. Something the whole game can take part in. #WeAreIn

World Football Giving Day is here‼️ Access, opportunity, and community. World Football Giving Day is a movement bringing together players, brands, clubs, and grassroots organizations to rethink how the game gives back and who truly has access to it. @adidasfootball has stepped in as the lead partner alongside @commongoalorg as the movement continues to grow. The culture of football is at its best when it opens doors, creates opportunity, and brings communities together 💫 With ambassadors like Juan Mata, Naomi Girma, Jürgen Klopp and many more involved, the movement continues to grow as football looks to create real impact beyond the game. As the game keeps growing globally, it’s important we make sure the next generation can grow with it too. May 26th 🌍⚽️ #worldfootballgivingday

Across Peru, Chile and Mexico, five organisations are using football to dismantle the barriers that keep girls and women on the sidelines of the game, and of opportunity. SOMOS Equidad, led by Fundación Catalizar and supported by Common Goal’s Equal Play Fund, is building the infrastructure for that change: trained coaches, stronger leaders, safer spaces, and communities that look different because of it. Around 900 participants. 35+ women leaders. One shared direction.
