New collection of work explores raw pigment inclusions and reclaimed clay bodies. Taking inspiration from classical vessels and the female form, this new series of work is the result of connecting with inherited experiences, embracing adversity and grounding. Some of this work is now available to buy, please get in touch with any questions. (link in bio)

Our Room.2 cohort have been busy in the studio for the past few weeks! Caitlin Hamblett @common.ground_studio (Ceramics, Textiles, Print) Nicola Shaw @theartsmakery (Printmaking, Painting) Alyssa Teixeira-Harcourt @alyssadaffodilart (Mixed Media) Heather Tully-Bolton @tullybolt (Painting, Photography, Sculpture) ROOM is our artist residency scheme in partnership with @termartclasses . Our original pilot scheme successfully ran from July to December 2025. In 2026, we reshaped the scheme to offer a 5 week residency to 4 artists, giving them a consistent studio space plus opportunities to exhibit, skill share and take part in artist crits. Additionally, Caitlin, Nicola, Alyssa and Heather will all be speaking about their artwork at this evening's "Mixer" event at Bailiff Bar. Free entry from 6pm - 9pm, this is a great opportunity to find out more about ROOM, the artists and meet other creatives. April 2026 - Bickershaw A few moments from a day of foraging and exploring; Black slug - omnivorous mollusc feeds on fungi, algae and rotting matter. Crab apple blossom - disease resistant, thriving in heavy clay soils. Hazel - hairy heart shaped soft leaves. Cowslip - What used to be a common plant is now facing serious decline due to habitat loss. Turkey Tail - A shelf fungi that grows on decaying hardwood, found year round, used in teas for its immune boosting properties. Scotch broom - An “invasive” plant species, producing toxic seeds that can last up-to 60 years in soil. Willow pod - responsible for the bits of white fluff that float through the air during spring. Garlic mustard - A biennial herb with edible leaves, a vital source of food for caterpillars. #ecology #wildlife #botanical #natural #foraging
