Local Spotlight: Commandment How did you come up with the name Commandment? We played around with “Knxckle Dxster.” Worked up some art with a Cherokee Knuckle Duster, but realized it looked too similar to the band Knuckle Dust. We just landed on Commandment. Kinda like Testament. It represents a larger, fuller sound that complements our lyrical content. Who are your biggest influences? Our most influenced style is more early 2000s Hardcore and Nu-Meta with a sort of minimalistic metalcore sound. Influential bands are from a few different genres. A lot of them used for more inspiration from when we grew up listening to music more than anything: Fear Factory, Limp Bizkit, Terror, Reign Supreme, Slipknot, Lionheart, Chevelle, Acacia Strain, Emmure, Downpresser, Nickleback, AC|DC, Linkin Park, The Story so Far to name a select few without putting too much so people actually read this. Who are some of your favorite locals to work with?
