The Lord has slowed down my life in ways this year, some large and some small. Entering this last month of the year, I look back and realize that throughout this year, and the few prior, He would meet me in the place I find most intimate: my writing. Studying His word and writing love letters to Him, or just needing someone to vent to found an outlet in my scribbled thoughts. Although many words I’ve written will remain for His eyes only, a low maintenance writing blog has been on my heart for some time now. Why wait until the new year to start?
Sometimes inspiration strikes when you aren’t looking.
It hits you in the back of the head and you can’t shake the feeling until you tell someone about it.
That’s what happened to me this week ...

Here’s a recap of last month’s ‘Reel Minds’ Miami Mental Health Film Festival by @namimiami 💚🦋!!
This festival was educating and inspiring. It was the biggest screen UNNESTED has been shown on and to hear the president and CEO of NAMI Miami, Susan Holtzman, share her personal story of Empty Nest Syndrome and introduce the film herself was a blessing. Many in attendance spoke to me after the event, sharing their experience as empty-nesters and how the film was made with exceptional quality (all thanks to our amazing crew 🗣️💐). They loved how the film managed to present the subject matter in an honest yet entertaining and endearing way
Thank you, NAMI Miami, for this opportunity. This is a core memory I will cherish ⭐️🧠
