If you've been following our journey, then you have witnessed our shift firsthand. Combcutters very much feels like an ever growing and expanding piece of us that we get to share with You. These last few years we have dared to dream bigger. We've been emboldened to create the things we want to see for our loved ones and ourselves - through bees! All of our work up until now has brought us Here. A brand new phase where we get to engage in an exchange of ideas, surrounding our bee world. We do not exist, nor create in a vacuum, nor are we monoliths. We're so very proud to have You join us as we continue to connect the dots, dive deeper, and nestle in nuance. Welcome to the Combcutters Patre0n! Link in bio to sign up 🌻

Join us Sat. May 23rd at the Alachua County Library Partnership Branch (912 NE 16th Ave) for a livestream conversation with Bees, Land, & Liberation. The event is free, however if you would like to donate to our Palestinian comrades in the WB and G, you can send funds to the Venmo/zelle/paypal listed below. From the organizers: 🇵🇸 Greetings beekeeping, agricultural, liberation-seeking, world-building, & Palestine-solidarity communities! We have another “Storytime from Palestine” coming up May 23rd at 21:30 Palestine time/ 2:30pm eastern time. Register to join virtually at the link in bio or visit combcutters.xyz/solidarity OR find or host a watch party near you! 🐝 This Storytime will hold some familiar pieces and some newness as well. We’ll hear from our colleagues in Gaza and the West Bank about daily life on the ground, as well as from Bees, Land, and Liberation members who recently returned from a solidarity beekeeping trip in Palestine. 🇵🇸 For this Storytime, we have invited friends from around the globe to host local watch parties and fundraising events - to gather, connect and hold these stories collectively. We will update the list of local watch parties here, as they are confirmed. 🐝 Whether you are joining us from your own space or gathering with others at a local event, your presence is felt & appreciated. These are stories that must be shared, voices that must be heard. We all have something to learn from the resistance and resilience of Palestinian people, and inspiration to take in our journey towards collective liberation for the people of Palestine & beyond. ***************** This Storytime will have simultaneous interpretation available in Arabic, Spanish, Haitian Creole, English & American Sign Language. ***************** As always, we are fundraising for stipends for our Palestinian speakers & interpreters. Additional funds raised will go be distributed to beekeepers in Gaza and the West Bank. Please send your donation of $1-$100 to @combcutters (Venmo) or [email protected] (Zelle/paypal) NOTAFLOF

We have not one, but two opportunities to get yr hands in the dirt, supporting community-focused food & homesteading initiatives! Saturday, May 16th, 10am - 12pm, join us at Cerasee Farm to support our partners at @urbangreenworks , cleaning up garden beds, the bee yard, or whatever needs to be done. Sunday, May 17th, 12pm - 5pm, lend a hand at Tami's with @perfectpetitesessentials . This is an awesome opportunity to connect with community & learn what it can really look like to homestead in the middle of the city!

🐝 Our friends at @combcutters invited us on a field trip! At the farm, we got an up-close look at the importance of bees in our daily lives and the lessons they can teach us about worker solidarity, climate justice, and more. Want to join us on the next field trip? RSVP under upcoming events at the link in our bio 💛

Bee yourself! 🐝 we learned the cool life of bees and how they are so needed in our environment. We learned that it’s best to buy locally not through stores for groceries and it could be a challenge but the more you start replacing one thing by one the easier it’ll be, also we learned the huge impact of composting your trash is to help the environment ❤️

This past month 100 kg of local honey were distributed in Tulkarem refugee camp, courtesy of West Bank beekeepers; supported by our global beekeeper mutual aid network, which of course is supported by our wider communities - all of you! With increasing violence and destruction in the West Bank, more Palestinians are becoming refugees on their own land; families displaced, more and more families living in smaller spaces; less access to resources. Our colleagues on the ground had the idea of using some of the funds we’ve raised to purchase honey from other local beekeepers. This supports the beekeepers’ work & livelihood, while distributing the honey as local sustenance & medicine to families in the refugee camp - 2 forms of mutual aid rolled into one. Huge thank you to all of you for your ongoing support - for continuing to donate to our mutual aid fund supporting beekeepers & farmers in Palestine, and for continuing to share our posts! The mutual aid fund is still going strong; feel free to send funds if you are able. We are still exploring what beekeeper-to-beekeeper organizing and mutual aid look like, especially as the war & genocide on Palestinian people continue and the war on Iranian & Lebanese communities continue to develop. Stay tuned for more mutual aid reportbacks & more creative ways to support beekeepers & agricultural workers in Palestine.
