The Tiger girls are taking over the world ⚔ We weren't sure where the tides would bring us when we first released "Tiger Girls" as a webcomic, so we’re beyond thrilled that our Southeast Asian-inspired dystopian fantasy will be making landfall on far-flung shores abroad. More than ever now, we need stories that light a fire within us and push back against beliefs we’re told not to question — we can't wait for "Tiger Girls" to reach more readers around the world so that you can all girl-rage along with us. šŸ”„ Danish translation rights acquired by @forlagetbogoo šŸ”„ Global English rights acquired by @madcavestudios The DE print edition of "Tiger Girls" is currently available in selected Southeast Asian countries through differenceengine.sg (link in bio). International readers, stay tuned for more updates to come. "Tiger Girls" is created by Felicia Low-Jimenez and Claire Low. From a spark of inspiration to international recognition šŸŽØ 🌟 #NTUsg School of Art, Design and Media (@ntu_adm ) alumna Claire Low’s (@comatomato ) debut graphic novel, ā€œTiger Girlsā€, has won two honours at the Singapore Book Awards 2026 for Best Graphic Novel and Best Marketing Campaign. Illustrated by Claire, the graphic novel has also been recognised on The White Ravens (@thewhiteravens.books ), a prestigious annual list of international children’s and young adult literature, marking global recognition for a Singapore-made story. While she had always been an avid reader of comics, it was only at ADM that Claire decided to pursue her interest in the medium more seriously: ā€œTiger Girls was the first comic I drew outside of school, and the things I learnt at NTU came in really useful when I was working on it.ā€ The international edition of ā€œTiger Girlsā€ will be released worldwide later this year and is also available in Danish. Congratulations, Claire. šŸ“ø: Claire Low, Izza Haziqah Abdul Rahman, CNA #NTUsgAlumni #BookAward #Illustration @ntu_adm @ntucohass

A behind the scenes of the little world I created as this year’s key visual for the Asian Festival of Children’s Content 2026. This process took me on a journey between the old worlds I imagined as a child and the new one I created to explore with everyone else. I hope you enjoyed the process as much as I did. Thank you so much @afccsg ! It was a great honour to be given such an opportunity and with such a fun and fascinating theme. #AFCC2026 #NLBsg

"We become monsters so they don’t have to.ā€ How does power shape a person? Felicia Low-Jimenez's additional short story for "Tiger Girls" digs further deeper into hidden backstories where loyalties are shaped like water and danger grows thick like a fog. But even when shrouded by mystery, the truth always glints in the sunlight. The print edition of "Tiger Girls" includes exclusive bonus content featuring concept art, a new prose short story, and fresh new character illustrations. What's fierce, majestic, and fabulous but in danger of extinction? This #InternationalTigerDay šŸ… in particular reminds us of the critically endangered tigers of Southeast Asia threatened by poaching and habitat loss, and the women born in the Year of the Tiger in "Tiger Girls" who are hunted and killed for the belief that they bring bad luck. It's always the strongest ones that others seek to bend and break. Illustrating the Tiger Girls with their animal counterparts, Claire Low (@comatomato ) dreams with us of a world where creatures do not need to fight for their right to live. #DifferenceEngineSg #DEComics #southeastasiancomics #TigerGirlsComic #illustration #digitalart #tigerdrawing

How does a webcomic become a print book? For Claire, the journey wasn’t exactly smooth sailingā€¦šŸ›¶ But as they say, hindsight is 20/20, so she’s here to share what to do — and more importantly, what NOT to do 😳 Follow her through the (chaotic) journey of how ā€œTiger Girlsā€ went from screen to page! Whether your girl rage burns bright or smoulders quietly, thank you for joining us for the launch of ā€œTiger Girlsā€ at @bookbarsg last week ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„ ā€œTiger Girlsā€ challenges the patriarchy, traditional beliefs, and what fighting back can look like. We heard writer Felicia Low-Jimenez talk about how she took real-world struggles even further in an intricate speculative story. Illustrator Claire Low also shared how she crafted a distinctly Southeast Asian dystopia, from traditional wear to characteristic monsoons, to create an immersive world with her art. Biggest thanks to Wen-yi Lee (@wenyiwrites ), who led the conversation — she added her own thoughtful insights and might just secretly be our favourite fan! We’re honoured to be at Book Bar again as well. We hope everyone enjoyed their dose of girl power, girl rage, girl dismantling-the-patriachy — and thank you for choosing to spend last Friday night with us šŸ…āœØ
