Ethereal Quiescence Print Release😶🌫️
These will be available in a very limited edition in-person on Saturday for @colourhaiku at @gabbagallery , Los Angeles.
• 25 on 100# Cougar Smooth Archival Cover🧐 • 10 on ‘White Moon Lava’ holographic paper🪄
*Holding some for my shop as well, which will be available April 26 at 12PM(PT)
About the piece:
We are grinding through some very dark times and it’s hard to escape being consumed by the heaviness of the world. For my own self-preservation, I’ve been thinking how important it is to also step away from that weight–even briefly. My hope is that you give yourself moments to separate from the overwhelming injustices of our contemporary constructs and take a breath. To feel a stillness. To make space for joy, friendship, and the people closest to us. We deserve time for our own mental health and moments of peace!
I think this piece came out of that search for stillness. Ethereal Quiescence lives somewhere between chaos and calm–inspired by the rare moments of weightless balance and sanity amongst the noise and madness of modernity.
For me, it’s a reminder to create a quiet space to rise above, dive inward, push deeper into ourselves, and observe our collective humanity. It’s the space between times of turmoil, striking a balance between our fixations on the past and the anxieties of our exhaustive futures.
Let me know if you can relate, or if you know a secret to getting into your creative flow state in times of teetering global catastrophes.😵💫🫶
