Take a look at our stoma-friendly toilet venues across the UK on our website! There are over 1200 venues and growing! Finding a suitable toilet when you’re out and about can be a real concern for anyone living with a stoma.
That’s why we’ve created an easy-to-use resource highlighting venues with thoughtful facilities including hooks, shelves, bins, and full-length mirrors – small changes that make a big difference. This is another important step in our campaign to improve public toilet provision and break down stigma around stomas. With more venues joining all the time, we’re helping people feel confident to get out, explore and live life fully.

We’re really pleased to share that @morrisons has joined our Stoma Friendly Toilets campaign, making all their stores stoma friendly – that’s 500 branches across England, Scotland and Wales!
Accessible toilets in every Morrisons store will include practical features such as a shelf for supplies, hooks for clothing or bags, a bin for discreet disposal, and a mirror for appliance checks.
These might sound like simple additions, but they make a big difference. For the 1 in 335 people in the UK living with a stoma, access to appropriate facilities can mean greater comfort, dignity, and confidence when out and about.
We’re proud to have worked with Morrisons on these improvements and, following @bandq_uk , to see another major retailer take this positive step towards making everyday spaces more inclusive.
Morrisons stores will also be added to our online Stoma-Friendly Toilet map, helping even more people plan trips and shopping visits with reassurance.
Thank you to Morrisons for listening, taking action and helping to break down everyday barriers for our community.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re focusing on Action.
Adjusting to life with a stoma isn’t just physical. It can affect how you feel, your confidence, and your day-to-day life.
In this video, @turbotom.p shares his experience after bowel cancer - and reflects on something many people tell us: it’s easy to focus on physical recovery, while your mental health gets overlooked.
Taking action doesn’t have to mean big steps.
It can be as simple as:
• Telling someone how you’re really feeling
• Asking a friend or family member to check in
• Speaking to someone who understands
• Reaching out for support
You don’t have to manage things on your own.
If you need support, we’re here to listen and help you find the right kind of support for you.

This #TfLPrioritySeatingWeek, we’re reminding people that for many people living with a stoma, the challenges of using public transport are not always visible, but they are very real.
For some people living with a stoma, standing on public transport can be difficult, uncomfortable or stressful. Priority seating can make a real difference to someone’s journey.
This year, artist Tracey Emin is voicing TfL priority seating announcements to help raise awareness of stomas and invisible disabilities across the network.
“Campaigns like Priority Seating Week are vital in helping people understand that not all disabilities are visible, and that a small act of kindness, like offering a seat, can have a significant impact.”
