🏁 My HYROX warm up routine before every race:
🚴 5–10 min easy bike
🏃 5–8 min easy run
⚡ 1 min at race pace run
🛷 Half-length sled push
🎿 1 min SkiErg
🚣 1 min Row
🦵 A couple lunges
🏀 A few wall balls
I don’t do them back to back I take my time.
Then, 10 minutes before the start:
😌 Nothing anymore. Calm the heart rate down and get focused.
A good warm up is key to getting your muscles and body race ready without wasting energy before the race even starts.

🧠 5 Tips to Stay Mentally Locked In During Wall Balls
1. Don’t think about the total shrink the set
100 reps will break you mentally.
10 reps won’t.
👉 Always focus on the next 5–10 reps, nothing else.
2. Lock into a rhythm, not speed
Missed reps = wasted energy + frustration.
👉 Find a consistent tempo you can hold, even when it hurts.
3. Control your breathing early
Most people lose the station in the first 20 reps.
👉 Inhale on the catch, exhale on the throw. Stay ahead of your heart rate.
4. Expect the pain don’t react to it
Your legs will burn. Your heart rate will spike.
That’s not a problem that’s the station.
👉 The moment you accept it, you stay in control.
5. Decide before it gets hard
When you’re deep in the set, you don’t think — you react.
👉 Make the decision early: “I’m not breaking here.”
