We had a great time last night interviewing each other and writing bios. Thanks to everyone who came out and @shoprunner for sponsoring. #womenofcolor #womenofcolorindesign
February 2019 // Happy Black History Month! This month we're exploring how to have better BHM celebrations and sharing our latest obsession, Sally in HR.
I am so excited to announce the relaunch of colored, a design led diversity and inclusion company. Our journey began two years ago when I, founder + HBIC Theresa Stewart, set out to create a different D&I company where action was prioritized over talk. Where we use methods of human centered design to solve one of our industries toughest and most insidious issues, inclusion.⠀
⠀
We’ve learned so much this past year, from having to pivot our offering and tone, to understanding a day in the life of those in charge of inclusion initiatives (shoutout to my friends at Shoprunner and Solstice Mobile for allowing me to learn from your experiences.) I am beyond thrilled to share our newest offerings and blog with you all in hopes we can create more inclusive organizations together. ⠀
⠀
As always, this is just the beginning and we plan to change as the industry demands. And while we might pivot here and there, we will always hold true to our values which are frank discussion of inclusion and being action led.
