Well, life got busy and this is lateā¦ BUT, almost a month ago I got to reunite with my art friends at the reception for our gallery opening! š«¶š¼ What a wonderful experience this has been & Iām so thankful to @greenacresfoundation for the opportunity! My piece will be on display for almost a year in one of my favorite spots of the building. The art everyone created was really inspiring & reminded me why I love local art so much!

Well, Itās already a week into the new year, but here she is - 2025 in a pile photosā¦ (definitely in my own order & barely half of the sessions). I think every time I posted a photo it was followed up with ātrying something newā or āitās been a while sinceā¦ā & Iām honestly impressed I posted at allā¦ but just so happy I came back to taking photos. So so many different shoots this year (regardless of the bad posting) with people I love & new humans Iām so happy I now know! šFor 2026ā¦No, idk what Iām doing with my camera but hopefully itās more! I might actually explore some specificsā¦ bc in 2025 I certainly did not find my niche (unless my niche is being NOT cohesive), but I did find some things that I adored photographing, as well as some I would probably never do again!
Some memorable momentsā¦
- My ancient camera broke right before a wedding (big effing yikes).. BUT I got the @canonusa Iāve been wanting & itās fab!
- Styled shoots!! Honestly this was funā¦ a wee bit of controversy on these, but 10/10 would do again.
- I spent time at greenacres doing whatever I wanted. Trying new thingsā¦ it was so great to relax & just photograph anything I could!
- Stopped fighting with Lightroom & learned to love editing (HAHAHA this one is a giant lie. This is a goal for 2026!)
Looking forward to taking a lot more pictures this yearā¦ Thank you for anyone who let me be a part of their 2025! š¤

Artists Weekend 2025 @greenacresfoundation ā„ļø
Iām not sure Iāve found the right string of words or thoughts from the weekend, because I have soooo manyā¦ but it was, in short, wonderful. The biggest thank you to the staff that put this together; hosting events is a LOT & you did it beautifully. Iāve never had so much freedom to roam (mentally & physically), all while being on such a curated schedule! It was a perfect design & you are all beautiful genuine humans! š«¶š¼
Time spentā¦I donāt think Iāve ever just taken photos to take photos? I never really thought about that before I was thereā¦ It felt a little weird at first to justā¦ slow down. I kinda forgot what light & lines looked like in different spaces, how many shapes exist in pretty much everything, & how much I love just looking around. So, hereās a little collection of things I saw & experienced (a study, if you will) on the beautiful, historic grounds. Not muchā¦but itās here!
Thank you to Karen & @francisfineartcincy who broke the ice with me the first night & made me talk HAH. Usually an observer in situations like these & I probably wouldnāt have talked much without you! To my rainy day friends, @ml.ceramic@the.campbell.creative@hannah_moore___@abbyschwabbb@karleyrose.creates & Sarah you all were such a highlight of the weekend & I cannot wait to meet back up! To everyoneā¦ thank you for talking about your art forms & why you love them, your experiences, starting over (@neyerdeb š), taking breaks, going backā¦ & every thing in between! Iām so glad we are all staying connected & I truly canāt wait to see what everyone has finished in February! ā„ļø

š«¶š¼ Shoppy was able to finally get some new staff merch & it has been so fun giving it to them & having them wear it for shifts & events! š„¹ so many fun fittings & travels with new/old staff!

The last few months Iāve had so many great photo sessions! Itās made this season even better that so many of my senior sessions have been kids I teach (or taught) & can help get their senior photos/college audition prep/headshotsā¦ whatever you want to call it checked off their list!!! šI love spending time with them & their adult (lol) as they tell me all of their upcoming plans and what college adventures they are most looking forward to! š„¹ I hope you all have the best senior season & make so so many memories!

āI Am Wholeā - a senior duo from last year recognizing a lot more than just one season of dance; but the years they had together and what it will mean as they move into their college years! The sock color, the costume, the song, the flowersā¦ all the little details behind the piece made this duo everything it was and a hard goodbye!
So thankful I was finally able to use a song by November Ultra, it was a perfect moment for these two! š«¶š¼
