One of my favorite encounters with a whale shark in the Sea of Cortez. A jaw-dropping lesson in ocean scale and gentleness. If you look closely, you can see a remora inside her mouth.
I’ve only seen Atlantic spotted dolphin one time in the gulf, and it was over 10 miles out many years ago. I can’t believe they were right outside of the Destin pass yesterday!! they are by far the most curious, friendly, and playful dolphins I’ve ever encountered. 🙏🏽❤️🐬 Thank you for the ski @xtremeh2o #Dolphins #AtlanticSpottedDolphin #OnceInALifetime #ColorEarth.
EAT MORE LIONFISH!! They are invasive, destructive, and I’m super proud of our local efforts to eradicate them. Thanks for the invite to judge some culinary lionfish creations here at home for #DFWBECO26 c/o @destinfwb 🧑🍳🤌🙏🏽 #lionfish @the850foodie
Jetty-jelly! A moon jelly at the jetties safely harbors tiny little fry. Nature is brilliant!
Which version do you like better — color or B&W?
People’s Choice Award voting is still happening, and I’d be honored if you’d take a moment to vote for my 6 images (link in bio) and check out all the other amazing nominations. Many thanks!

Diving under the Destin bridge is not a beginners Dive. High tide is the best time to do it, but the water continues to rush in long after peak high tide. You just have to know how to time it and understand that wind affects the occurrence as much as the tides. #DriftDive #DestinBridge #SoloDive #ColorEarth
Center Stage Sea Lion! She tugged on the back of my zipper and gently gnawed on my strobe then perched herself on this rock for photos…:::One of my submissions for @exposureone.awards link in bio to go vote #model #sealion #seaofcortéz #underwaterphotography
