Exploring the North Coast 500 can feel overwhelming the first time. There’s so many gorgeous villages, beaches, viewpoints, and places to stay, all spread across 516 miles of the Scottish Highlands.

The breakdown of the route into clear sections was my favourite feature. It meant we could quickly focus on the areas we cared about most, such as North West Sutherland where we found campsites like Sango Sands Oasis, where you can park right up on the beach front.
