Celebrating William Shakespeare Day with one of my favourite monologues from Lady Macbeth where she calls upon the spirits to help her prepare for the killing of King Duncan. She’s the added force behind her husband, Macbeth who murders him. Her ambition is for her husband to take his place. She knows this is the perfect opportunity and nothing will stop her……or them!!! I played Lady Macbeth for 4 years, years ago touring around the UK and Europe hence why I’ve never forgotten this monologue. Adding a wig and a little thunder for extra effect, makes it even more eerie…. Shakespeare tragedy, Macbeth takes place in Scotland “The Scottish Play” Nowadays it’s frowned upon as an actor to take on accents. My heritage is Irish but I’m pretty sure I have some Scottish in me somewhere. Gwadddd I love theatre! On stage is where I’m most comfortable! Can’t wait for my next play coming soooon! 🎭 Shakespeare, what a guy! What a playwright! What a poet!! He wrote the best roles for women! If he was alive today he’d definitely be one of the writers on Corrie 😁🎭 “All the world is a stage and all the men and women are merely players.
