From #CNFR2025, Jace Mayfield shared what life looks like after college rodeo: graduating, hitting the road with his brother, and going all-in on the prorodeo trail. Now, he’s making a strong rookie run and currently sits 3rd in the PRCA rookie standings.

That’s why we’re proud to introduce the 2026 CNFR Sportsmanship Awards Presented by Smarty Rodeo!
This year, we’ll recognize:
▪️ One outstanding collegiate athlete
▪️ One collegiate rodeo team
These awards honor those who lead with respect, strong character, and sportsmanship, and who represent the values that strengthen collegiate rodeo. Recipients will receive their choice of a Smarty Rodeo sled or a $2,500 credit toward a Smarty Rodeo Bulldogger, Horse, or Bronc machine.
Applications include:

▪️ Social media video submission
▪️ Letters of recommendation (Athlete Award)
Finalists for the Team Sportsmanship Award will also be featured on Smarty Rodeo social media, where fans will help vote for the winning program. We can’t wait to see the stories, leadership, and impact that make collegiate rodeo such a special community!
