Some people treat themselves with a spa day. I decided to treat ourselves to mattress, sofa, and rug deep, steam cleaning by dad-son duo, Palmer, who are amazing. They’re not on social media, so if you’re in CDMX and want to book their services, DM me for their contact.
Each year, Orion’s entire school - admin, teachers, and students from primary through middle school - go to camp for three days. They left early this morning. This vibe - families clapping and cheering for the kids and staying until the buses left our sight - is consistent with all of our experiences there. It will be weird not to talk with Orion at all for three days (camp is device-free), but we are all eagerly awaiting his return so we can hear all his camp stories.
Today’s task: get this index done because @professorduchess and I have a book coming out on October 6! You can pre-order through @azpress AND they’re offering a 30% discount — see the second image for details.
Orion has been studying Bosque Chapultepec at school, so we decided to take a Sunday bike ride to the Castillo and visit the Museo Nacional de Historia, which is free on Sundays for Mexicans and residents.
Happy hour: Homemade cocktail, homemade nachos, and a @cavallinipapers puzzle that @katiesilvia brought me, and which I saved until I finished a major project.
Thank you to Clinica Especializada Condesa for being a SEGREM site, where people can drop off expired medications for safe disposal. And thanks to the clinic. too, for providing free HIV care to people who need it.
