Happy Mother’s Day to our incredible Collage Dance moms! 💐💕 Today, we celebrate the love, strength, sacrifice, and encouragement you pour into your children each day. Behind every class, rehearsal, performance, milestone, and moment of growth is a mother, grandmother, guardian, or caregiver helping nurture confidence, discipline, creativity, and joy. Thank you for the countless ways you show up for your children and for our community.

“We are dancers, all of us. Life moves us; life dances us... Like life, a dance creates and destroys itself in every moment. Like love, it is beyond reason. It’s hard to imagine what a dance artist can do in a world that so badly needs radical change and healing. And yet - art, like hope, is a form of love... It is a solvent for the calcifying mind and a balm to heal it.” - International Dance Day Message 2026 by Crystal Pite, award-winning Canadian choreographer and dancer Excerpt from Pite’s Four Solitudes performed by Collage Dance Collective in fall 2025. Happy International Dance Day! Read Pite’s full message at

From powerful performances to a room full of generosity and joy, this year’s gala was a celebration of what it truly means to invest in the next generation. Because of our community, we’ve raised enough to provide more than 50 scholarships and continue our commitment to making high-quality dance training accessible for all. At a time when resources are shrinking, costs are rising, and support feels less certain, this generosity matters more than you know. It helps ensure this work and the young people at the center of it continue to thrive. To get tickets for our upcoming Conservatory fundraiser, We Leave Things Green featuring Pulitzer Prize winner Jericho Brown, or to support our work, visit collagedance.org. 🎥 @_one901

“We didn’t know what to expect… and now she’s thriving.” That’s what one Collage parent shared with us recently, and it’s exactly why we do this work. Dance here isn’t just about technique. It’s about confidence, focus, discipline, and helping young people discover something they truly love. If you’ve been even a little curious about dance for your child, we’d love to welcome you to our FREE Conservatory Open House next Saturday, April 25th beginning at 4PM at the Collage Dance Center. ✨ Step into a real class environment ✨ Meet our faculty and staff ✨ Tour the space ✨ Ask questions in a relaxed, welcoming environment No experience needed. Just come as you are. 👉Visit collagedance.org to register to attend.

What a sweet reminder of what’s possible when community comes together. This year’s Sweet 16 Annual Gala was an unforgettable celebration of artistry, generosity, and the power of investing in the next generation. From inspiring performances by our Conservatory students and professional company to extraordinary guest artists, including a show-stopping moment from Grammy-nominated Avery Wilson / @averywilson , the afternoon was filled with joy, purpose, and connection. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who continues to believe in and support our mission-driven work. Visit collagedance.org to explore upcoming events you won’t want to miss.
