Time after time, the goal is to extend the dancing shrimp friezes across larger areas,
invading the streets and making them my streets. By superimposing my culture onto
another, they merge to become something new ans sofisticated: Dynamic, imperfect
& beautiful...

CREATING YES, BUT SHARING IT WITH FRIENDS IS EVEN MORE INTERESTING
The shrimp friezes were created using stencils. First, I painted them on cardboard
with Chinese ink, then I cut out the shapes.
The 5 shrimp allow great flexibility and a wide variety of combinations, adapting to
the wall’s patchwork.
After having the idea, I decided to bring my friends along in the middle of the night
and share this urban graffiti experience. It became more than just an art project, but a
real moment of complicity.
The combinations were made at the last minute on the wal, it was a matter of intuition,
feeling, and wall interpretation, like if it was a script. I led the arrangement while
my friends helped me hold, paint, and watch over the street.

BERLIN ENERGY & CREATIVITY
Since I moved to Berlin, I have found a lot of new inspiration all around me, particularly
in the streets. Berlin has a special dynamism in public spaces, and people really
make the streets their own. This is even more noticeable in Neukölln, where I live. You
can feel a sense of freedom and liberty in the way people express themselves and
act. I wanted to be part of it.
STREET APPROPRIATION
I asked myself: how can I be part of this city? How can I claim the streets as my own?
How can I feel at home?
FREEDAMCE SHRIMPS
I brought my dancing shrimps from the Brittany seacoast and made them travel to
East Germany.
They are now, like a school of fish, swimming on Berlin walls, undulating betwing
flyers & other grafiti. Befor painting, the walls are metuculously chosen to create a
visual game between the shrimps and their environment, interacting with elements
already present and becoming a part of it.
Shrimps have kept my chinese ink style, while moving in a more contemporary direction
through the graffiti process, the choice of surfaces, and the materials used,
adapting them to the city’s vibe.
