The @together_reaching_higher Entrepreneur Pathways Lab Business Showcase at @thesocialhub.glasgow was a wonderful finish to this intensive 5 month programme supported by @inspirent_ltd . Every stall holder showed up ready despite so many challenges in the background. The marketplace had a steady flow of visitors throughout the day and the energy in the room was great from start to finish. Upstairs, those selected for presentations to invited guests and ecosystem partners spoke amazingly well! Big credit to @reemixifyboxes , @hager.elegance and @printoree for stepping up to public speaking for the first time and delivering with confidence to a full room. Sales were made, new customers, followers and network connections gathered. It was such a thrill for us all to see these ideas become something people can see, hear and engage with. It’s been an intense but rewarding 5 months working on the Entrepreneurs Pathways Lab with new minority ethnic entrepreneurs at @together_reaching_higher . Many of these businesses were just ideas back in November! Since then, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside this group as they’ve shaped those ideas into real businesses through our Bootcamp Workshops Nov-Dec and then into our 1:1 intensive Grow Lab phase Jan-March. I’ve seen people push through doubt, learn new skills at pace, make decisions they’ve been avoiding, and start showing up with real confidence in what they’re building. It’s been so inspiring watching that shift happen in real time. And week after week we’ve been treated to amazing food samples, test batches, and “try this and tell me what you think.” Safe to say we have not gone hungry! Now we’re at the final stretch. The Migrant Empowerment Workshop by @de.la.colina_uk was excellent. Engaged participants. Real questions about work, skills and next steps. The presentations covered practical routes into NHS roles, self-sponsored visas, recruitment strategies and how to start earning through self employment.
