A collection of directing, and cinematography work from the last few years.
“Filmmaking” is a team sport through and through. Nearly every frame here is a representation and product of the hard work of a lot of insanely talented people, and I am thankful for them all.

Often, there’s more personal resonance to be found in the motion of creating than the final piece itself. Taking today to be thankful for every human and ShittyRig just outside of frame.

Welcome to the Roster Cole Arnold 💥
Cole is an editor by job description and a filmmaker at heart. With extensive experience as a director, cinematographer, colorist, and editor, Cole has spent the last 14 years honing his creative voice.
Cole’s passion for storytelling stems from his personally held philosophy that art is one of the great connectors. He believes that filmmaking gives us all the chance to feel seen in a way that makes the world feel much less isolating. It’s a way to say with images, sounds, and color those things that words can’t always convey. His hope is to create work that, even in small ways, serves as a flashlight in the dark saying “Someone has been there too, you’re not alone.”
Cole is just as comfortable in documentary and lifestyle work, as he is in music and brand work. He believes there’s a unique diamond of connection to be found in every project, no matter the scale, and he aims to bring a perfectionists eye and an artist touch to every cut.
Professionalism aside, he finds inspiration in music, his rescued parking lot cat, and a never ending watch list. There’s no good way to list favorite films these days without sounding like a letterboxd film bro, but a few cherished films would be; Aftersun, Portrait Of A Lady On Fire, Frances Ha, and Hot Rod.
Snow day mundanities
Nothing to say really, I just needed to make anything that felt like it had a soul. Didn’t need to be good, my heart just needed the motion of it again
(For those interested; The only camera I still own is my almost 10yr old 80D. I didn’t want to lug around the old 24-70 so I threw on a little 28mm I have for my stills film camera using an adaptor I bought off an Etsy fab lol)

I was going to wait and share something from this trip that was more polished. But this moment is among some of the purest and happiest moments of my life, and this little sequence is bringing me so much joy. So I’ll let it live messy and pure here too.
Maybe I’ll share more later. For now please remember; there may not always be a reason to smile, but if you keep your eyes open, the moments will sneak up on you.
