That’s a wrap! We made (another) feature, baby!
Primrose Inn had its final shoot today to wrap up filming. This has been an unconventional process with so much joy, laughter, hard work, creativity and learning.
This team is incredible. Our cast and crew wore so many hats and brought so much love and support to our set. I can’t express the amount of gratitude I have for this group making this the best summer ever.
As cozy season sets in, our director and editor are getting to work on post production. See you on the other side!
Xoxo Primrose Inn

A little “remember where you were” photo to commemorate MLRG dropping on Amazon TVOD.
Give us a watch, rate the film to boost us up and get us to live forever on Prime (it’s all somehow slightly different idk who cares), tell your friends, tell me if you like or hate it, and consider this chapter officially closed. Other streaming options to come.
And that’s. A. Fucking. WRAP. 🎬
Also, LOL to the preview photo like of COURSE.
Hi! Meet Malcolm “Mac” Charles Zimmerman - the newest member of our family!
He joined us May 14th at 3:03am at 34 weeks because, like his mother, he lives life by the mantra “to be early is to be on time.”
Despite his debut six weeks early, he is thriving in the NICU with no complications.
Dad, Aiden & Noah are ecstatic, and Mom “feels better today than any day being pregnant” and is stoked to have stuck to her manifested birth plan of “getting him out in two pushes.”
We love you, Malcolm!
Filming is officially over for Aiden’s debut short film “The Philanthropist” 🪓
There was a moment during a chilly, windy night shoot where my eyes were watering during a take from the weather and everyone chimed in to make the joke “oh Amy’s crying!” We all laughed. This weekend was fueled by a lot laughter.
But the thing is, while that was a little joke, there actually was a lot to cry about. It is incredibly moving and disgustingly special to have had the opportunity to make The Philanthropist.
Not only did I have the unique experience of co-directing with the son I’ve been helping raise for the last ten years and sharing this side of my life with him - but the entire weekend was made possible by the most incredible crew and cast made up of old and new friends who all showed up for me and my kid and took the work and the vision so seriously.
Every member of this team - some seasoned professionals, and others trying something new for the first time - were the most incredibly hard working, passionate, positive and funny people I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Friends of mine from all different stages of my life and all different parts of the country, showed up for Aiden and I this weekend. And that is absolutely something to cry about .
We now move into post-production for the bloody, sick, disturbing horror film I never thought I’d make.
Thank you Aiden for this opportunity to be an artist with you. I’m the luckiest parent in the world. Love you kid. You welcomed me into your family a decade ago, and now I’ve gotten to invite you into my artistic family. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
Just reminiscing about how much fun I had at the Gut Punch (a new play by Breanna Lucas) reading I got to be a part of in January đź¦
