It‘s been a year since ”Blossoms Shanghai“ premiered in Chinese-speaking regions. This TV series marked my first formal job and became my gateway into the film and television industry. I will never forget this extraordinary journey I had from 2020 to 2021.
In the summer of 2023, during the final stages of filming “Blossoms Shanghai,” I went back to visit Director Wong. I told him, “Director, I truly admire that at your age, you’re still creating and persisting in the career you love. I hope I can be like you someday.”
The director smiled gently and replied, “Well, that takes sacrificing quite a bit.“
I don‘t know what must be sacrificed, or how much one must give up to achieve their dreams. Perhaps even with countless sacrifices, we might still not reach the heights we envision.
But I am fortunate, for at least I have seen the mountain.
Having seen the peak, I now have a benchmark in my heart. On the path ahead, better to move forward in thought than to stop in contemplation. Like the surging waves of the Huangpu River, I will keep moving forward.
《繁花》在中文地区开播已经一周年了。
这部剧是我人生中第一份正式工作，亦是我迈入影视行业的契机。我想我永远不会忘记这段2020-2021的奇妙旅程。
2023年夏天繁花在进行最后阶段的拍摄，我回去看望了王导演。我对他说，导演，我非常羡慕你，到现在这个年纪仍能不断地创作，坚持自己热爱的事业，我希望以后也能像你这样。
导演听后莞尔一笑道，那要牺牲很多东西的喔。
我不知道要牺牲什么，牺牲多少才能实现梦想，亦或是牺牲再多，也不一定能达到理想中的高度。
但幸运的是，起码我见过高山。
见过高山，心有标杆。
往后的路，宁可一思进，莫在一思停。
黄浦江上的浪头，会滚滚向前。

Met an animal whisperer this afternoon in Kensington gardens. He taught me how to communicate with (attract) animals🤫. It’s a really magical moment when witnessing these cute little creatures cautiously approaching you.
