By @cohere_co If you look at the branding of Hotel Anna & Bel, you can almost feel the kind of time you’d have staying at this boutique hotel. The look, crafted by Cohere, blends a bit of history of the hotel – formerly a women’s asylum and retirement home dating back to 1769 – with its modern persona. The understated type brings the modernity, while the illustrated logo of two women’s faces points to the history of the building. “The typography was inspired by classic French hotel ephemera, echoing the architectural elements of the hotel itself, such as the courtyard and surrounding porches that nod to a New Orleans style with French influence,” Design Director Victoria Costa tells us. “This connection reinforces the brand’s blend of historical depth and modern sensibility, creating a sense of place that feels authentic and considered.” It’s both a place steeped in a rich past, but also a hotel that is refreshingly modern, and its identity – backed by tasteful art direction – gets that. ——— CREDITS Graphic Design: @cohere_co Photography: @brefurlong

Opening soon on an alley in DC. The @minettataverndc ’s team has it dialed in. From façade until it was just right and rearranging vintage photos of U.S. Presidents and their mistresses—MINETTA DC will open its doors on 12/10. This weekend, it’s friends + family. We’re honored to play our small but mighty role in PR, cohesion, local engagement and storytelling. Images by Corry Arnold and Minh Cao.

The Morris Proper is rooted in a simple idea: New Jersey grows some of the best food in the country. That’s not opinion, it’s fact—and the starting point for everything. Cohere led creative direction across name, brand, interiors, uniforms, voice, and web. We built a concept around the quiet pride of local ingredients, drawing out a tone that’s structured, familiar, and just sharp enough. From the stone fruit color palette to the tiled wayfinding to the clarity of the menu, every detail serves that original conviction. Squad deep on this - @chelseahospitalitygroup vision, leadership, operations @stokesarchitecture interiors with @gensler_design also on interiors and architecture Culinary @davidcfelton @erikoberholtzer @jsauceandthespeciallove and so many more

A name carried through generations. James Beard nominated Chef @davidzamudio__ ‘s first restaurant concept @josefinabaltimore honors the matriarchs of his family and the country that shaped Latin American history, bringing Spanish food to Baltimore through a lens that is entirely his own. Cohere developed the brand strategy and identity for Josefina, building a visual world rooted in lineage, memory, and the sensory richness of southern Spain.

Times Square has a new look. Cohere partnered with @highgatehotels to lead the full rebrand of @rownyc — a 1,300+ room hotel that’s been part of the fabric of the city since 1927.

Baltimore’s first matcha studio. @quentinvennie grew Equitea from a CPG brand to a Baltimore pop-up into a vibrant, @hiltoncarter designed space, breaking the mold of what wellness can look like. Made for ceremony, recognized by GOOP, and already a community hub. Slide 4, 6, 9 photos by @jvstin.co Slide 3 photo by @null.moment #baltimore #branding #matchastudio

Pull up a stool. Something new is coming to Fell’s Point, Baltimore. Cohere partner Chris Richards has teamed up with Katie Schlaffer and experienced operators Kevin and Liz Irish of The Local Fry to open bar ALICE ANNE this spring: a corner bar built for today’s Baltimore, with small plates anchored by rotating banchan, local beer, natural wine, and unfussy cocktails. We couldn’t be more excited to watch this one open its doors. 🍻 @bar.alice.anne 1900 Aliceanna Street | Spring 2026

Standing on Market Street since the early 1800s, The Lewisburg Hotel has long been a place of rest, conversation, and gathering — and apparently, the occasional foiled holdup. Cohere designer Mac Warren’s identity for its next chapter feels like an archive of the town itself — that deep forest green against cream, the blackletter logotype, monograms pulled from Pennsylvania Dutch folk tradition.   Since 1834, opening its next chapter in 2026. If you think we’re building another Miami spa, you’re mistaken. This is about bathing culture, a social space and adding a new ritual to people’s lives. The design aim is to match the feeling you get after contrast hydrotherapy but with your eyes too 👀. So you wanna design a bathhouse? 💧 Our identity design for the newest, dopest bathhouse - @GrottoBaths - embraced physical experimentation. Using hand-dripped honey as letterforms, the natural viscosity mirrors how water moves and pools. This analog approach brought an authenticity that perfectly captured Grotto’s tactile, sensory experience. 🛒 🗞️ CITY-OWNED GROCERY NEWS - The Nation’s best case study for city owned grocery is getting a lot of attention just a week after @zohrankmamdani was elected (his campaign included a plan for 5 of these in NYC). We have gotten hundreds of inquiries about how to replicate this model moving forward. Of course Cohere played only one small part in the process, so we are working on bringing together the folks who helped make it happen to answer the burning question “HOW CAN WE GET ONE IN MY CITY?”. COMMENT CITY-OWNED to join our coalition for more information. Key partners will answer questions live, and we’ll break down the playbook for how it can be done in your city. In collaboration with: private operator @saviprovisions , IGA, @azaleafreshmarket , @investatlanta , @mayorandredickens , @carverstudio
