Things are warming up for the Hackney Half Weeekender!! Coffee Run has runners in both the Saturday 5k and Sunday Half Marathon events. I have the privilege of bringing a new group of runners to partake in their first 5k run and be their Warm up Host. Always a great weekend of running, volunteering and cheering on our home patch. Hopefully see you out there 😍 😍

Most Coffee Runners began their journey with a simple goal, being able to finish a 5k. After training together for six weeks, they crossed the finish line at Hackney Marshes Park Run or the Hackney Moves Community 5k, celebrating together, and immediately planning the next run/signing up for more running sessions. Today, those same beginners are still running buddies, going on to run a 10k in Paris, the Hackney Half, and Camino Ultra Marathons together, to name just a few. Now they want to extend the community and invite you to start your running adventure. So much so that they have fundraised to allow Coffee Run Hackney to offer a Free 6 week beginners training course to anyone who wants to train for that first 5k together. Meeting Wednesday and Friday Morning at 8.15am - 9am, on Well St Common, Hackney, E9. First session: Wed 15th April , Final Session: a timed 5k Run, Sat 16th May No experience required. No cost. Just a community waiting to support and cheer you on. We start gently with a walk run approach and build from there. To secure your place email Carole at [email protected]
