Violin occupies rare air in rock music. Warren Ellis turned his bow into prophecy with The Dirty Three, conjuring apocalyptic westerns from catgut and rosin. Black Heart Procession wove strings through California noir until the instrument became another dialect of shadow. Post-punk, though? Post-punk remains mapped by guitars, bass, drums—the holy trinity of angular aggression. @coeddorms a quartet fresh from opening slots with Xiu Xiu, Black Midi, and Horse Jumper of Love, arrived to redraw the cartography. Their self-titled debut exists as a single unedited live performance—nine tracks captured in one take, preserving every bead of sweat, every split-second decision, every moment where disaster brushed close enough to feel its breath.

CO-ED DORMS
Has released an album.
Self titled debut album out now on all streaming services and available for digital download on Bandcamp.
COED-DORMS is a four piece Neo-Classical Post-Industrial Post-Punk Revival Art Punk band and Performance Art project, consisting of monologue driven spoken word vocals, classically trained violin, noisy fuzz bass, and live drumming plugged into and being manipulated by effects pedals in real time.
Creating this album has been a rollercoaster of emotions and was almost abandoned before it began.
We made it happen, but couldn’t have done so without the help of Laura Mooney, John Agnello, Max Gowan, and Makayla Haag.
This album is a perfect time capsule of the past three years we have spent together as a performing group. This album contains only live through takes with no overdubs, no retracing, and no fix’s, just a true example of us live on a stage.
If you could lend us your ear and give this album a listen, share, and moment of your time we would be forever grateful.
CO-ED DORMS is not for music lovers, but many may still find a place in their heart for the band to reside.

$1040 American dollars were raised at last week’s Gaza benefit show, we additionally donated $100 within the band. Wonderful to see people come out and help raise money for such an important cause.
