Pulling another project from the archives. Back in the fall of 2023 I had the pleasure of collaborating with Director @steveschwartz_ and DP Harrison Hughes of @blackmountaincinema on their documentary “A Line In The Sand” featuring @ladyluckadventure and @john_barnes850 , the film explores the rich culture and history of bone fishing at Andros Island. With the vibrant colors of the tropical coastline represented in the grade, the film calls for the preservation of Andros Island’s pristine environment, and warns against the ecological effects of logging and mining projects lobbying for the land.
A Line In The Sand went on to win official selection at the @flyfishingfilmtour in 2024, and was screened across the multi-month tour in the US, Australia, and New Zealand.

Last summer I had the opportunity to collaborate with Director Owen Jones and DP Nikola Simic on their documentary “1000 Miles In A Dusty Saddle”, following 7 endurance cyclists riding the 1000 mile Race Across Texas.
When building the look for this project, I was able to pull from my own experiences and visual memories of Texas. The hues and textures Owen and I selected for our palette helped motivate the story arch and clearly define the movement of our cyclists through the green hills of east Texas, across the golden planes of central Texas, and over to the rocky red landscape of west Texas.

Loved getting to work some color magic with @nickutter.film at @content.shift and the fine folks @seepicturesproduction and @infiniteagency on this spot for betPARX DP’d by @bencren .
My objective with this grade was to help the spot feel like it was set in Philly, give some grit while keeping the background neutral and helping the talent’s wardrobe pop with color. Nick and I had some creative direction conversations leading up to our color session and with some very specific and intentional decisions in the grade we were able to land on color lock without a single round of revisions.

My goal was to create a bright, clean pallete that helped emphasize the beauty of our planet and helped support the sense of positivity and hope for tomorrow conveyed in the spot.

I was quiet on social media in 2023, head down collaborating with incredibly talented directors, DPs, and production companies across the US, crafting beautiful images and colors. Since shifting my career as a colorist to the freelance space in 2020, I’ve been steadily building a studio designed around image fidelity and technical precision, giving space for creative vision and artistic finesse.
As my studio continues to grow, I’ve officially launched Color Gallery, which will serve as the branded studio for my work. Color Gallery’s mission remains to provide a premium and accessible color experience.
