"aletta" • I had the chance to learn so much these past weeks, it went up and down, left and right but landed where it needed to be. I have grown so fond of all these new faces and their energy and want nothing more than to start a new part of this wild adventure together. Premiere: check. "to relinquish" ◇ So yes, this post was overdue...apparently running a company is a full time job that does not leave a lot of space for social media. Regardless, I think about this show and all the support I received from everyone involved while curating it every single day. It is one of the highlights of my career. Some days I still cannot imagine it was real. ◇ Eternally grateful, happy and so ready for the next step. Which is coming sooner than you think. "there was sun" ▪︎ After graduating I stepped into a crazy wild ride of a career journey. With so many insane opportunities, ups and downs, dance, music and freedom. And in all that craziness I forgot to remind myself of the one thing I told myself when I received my degree: "take a break, and get back out there stronger". Needless to say, no break was taken, no rest was had and it did not do me any favours. So yes, I needed this trip! And it wasn't anything fancy. Didn't fly halfway across the world or took a bunch of perfect photo's in my favourite shorts. Just took 2 weeks to recover, get my colour back and reset my brain. I recommend it. And now I'm back, back to work, back to life, back in my brain and happy to be there. ▪︎ I feel like I say this all the time but...amazing things are coming again! 2025 has been awesome and it's only going to get better. If you need me, I'll be in rehearsal. ▪︎ 🖤

After creating CDT in the end of 2023, Cody Lauren has worked on many projects with the company, now realising Nate through intelligent choreography, deep storytelling and incredible movement quality at the Korzo Theatre on April 12th! For tickets, see our bio! ◇ Cody Lauren graduated from the Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts in 2022 and has since then worked in the arts field as both a creator and a performer. Working with choreographers such as Daan Wijnands (Time Out) and Denden Karadeniz (Zero Dance Theatre) whilst also performing in De Nieuwe Lichting, with Stichting Nanoek and Stichting MusicalMakers (performer & choreographer), Boni De Musical (performer & assisstent choreographer), The Last 5 Years by Stichting Nanoek (dancer & choreographer) and Rusalka by The National Opera & Ballet (dance captain & dancer) among many more. With CDT, Cody Lauren has brought several pieces to life such as "Relinquish" (January 2024), "Dark Ink" (November 2024) and "Eidolon" (February 2025).
